The Drudge Report today says there is panic over at Fox with th decline of American Idol's ratings. Is the series ready to collapse in viewership?

I have to say, I am not surprised. I think a lot of fans take it personal when their fav. gets voted off and they stop watching.

Personally most of the people I know, including myself only watch American Idol until all of the bad people get kicked off

I think it's only good in the beginning when there's a bunch of horrible singers who think they're good.

So yes, I would think the ratings go down.

I used to be BIG into AI, but this year other shows just seemed more interesting. I couldn't commit to that many hours a week of one tv show. SO, I know that *I'm* not watching AI this season.
